Summary:
Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes. You will work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies for Big Data. The Database Analyst will support the critical data upon which APT provides enterprise level software and consulting services.
Job Duties:
- Extract and analyze data from an offsite Oracle database using custom database query tools and other tools as required
- Develop strategies for managing data anomalies
- Work with fundraisers to design data specifications that are either executed in-house or delivered to database vendor for execution
- Work with database vendor to develop clear and concise technical specifications
- Assist with the development of new productivity and business intelligence tools for fundraising and audience service teams
- Manipulate data using standard office tools such as MS Excel and MS Access
- Collaborate with the DSM team to develop and execute ongoing in-house training programs
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced understanding and application of computer technology to efficiently accomplish work, especially higher level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access for data manipulation and analytical purposes using pivot tables, data connections and statistical reporting tools
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail. Ability to extract meaning from detailed information
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills as necessary to communicate and work effectively with persons on all levels

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
