Summary:
Responsible for establishing and implementing quality assurance and compliance processes for IT. Develops and implements quality maturity roadmap and plan for each IT functional area. Develops, publishes and implements software quality assurance plans. Establishes internal IT service quality control standards, policies and procedures. Audits IT teams to ensure compliance.
Job Duties:
- Develop and establish quality assurance procedures for all applications, products, and services and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the development lifecycle
- Create reports, recommendations, and alternatives that address existing and potential problem areas in products, systems, and services
- Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications
- Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing and potential issues
- Collaborate with software personnel in application testing, such as system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods
- Make recommendations for improvements of applications to programmers and software developers or engineers
- Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management
- Analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws
- Assist in the development of change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices
Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of structured testing techniques/methodologies and processes
- Understand and support structured testing including planning, designing, and executing tests in a diverse IT environment on multiple platforms
- Ability to analyze testing processes, policies, and procedures and make recommendations for improvements
- Experience with Microsoft Access (VB Script preferred) and TSO preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to balance multiple projects within tight timelines
- Strong leadership, problem solving and decision making skills
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Business, Economics or Computer Science
- 5+ years in a systems analyst role
