Summary:
Develop software in the context of a focused project, while ensuring alignment to current and developing architecture. Understand and help refine un-stated requirements. Conduct design and peer reviews and exercise leadership through technical and domain knowledge.
Routinely deal with and resolve difficult technical issues and aid in the development of architectural framework and design. Take responsibility for the quality of deliverables. Evaluate and introduce new tools and techniques to the development team. Manage technical issues and the work of other developers.
Proactively identify areas for improvement, seek solutions and make recommendations, various other duties as required.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for inventory control of Information Technology (IT) equipment and enforcing regulations for issuance and disposition
- Maintain records for IT equipment and accurately track in internal database
- Coordinate warranty activities for IT hardware in need of maintenance or replacement. Track all applicable case numbers and RMA numbers in internal database
- Provide support for the IT Asset Management (ITAM) inventory to include disposal of outdated equipment through established means and according to Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines
- Assist new users in obtaining IT equipment
- Issue receipts to users that are assigned IT equipment to establish responsibility
- Label all IT equipment according to established AF guidelines
- Move IT hardware for existing users changing locations and ensure connection at new location
- Recover unused IT equipment from vacant desks and transport to proper storage areas
- Transport IT hardware between storage locations as required
- Replace printer consumables such as toner, fusers, and transfer units
- Enter and resolve help request tickets using internal management system
- Answer incoming telephone calls and assist or route to appropriate individuals as applicable
- Abide by all applicable DoD, AF, and WPAFB regulations and guidance, including specific guidelines concerning ITAM and the handling of IT equipment
Skills and Qualifications:
- Computer hardware/software troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge regarding printer/multifunction device operation and how to troubleshoot
- Accurate database entry skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook
- Must be able to routinely lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, engineering, or related field
- An additional four years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree
