Summary:
Assess, develop, conduct, and track training programs related to new-hire orientation, manufacturing operations, quality, SOPs, and GMP.
Job Duties:
- Partner with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies
- Coordinate training schedule with the hiring and training demands of the each department
- Formulate teaching outline and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops
- Select or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works
- Conduct training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc.
- Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training
- Report on progress of employees under guidance during training periods
- Monitor methods used by employees for to complete duties and make on the spot corrections
- Assist employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to their job function
- Maintain trainee personnel records
- Develop strong relationship with all departments to develop course materials and receive feedback
- Perform needs assessment and gap analysis; proactively identify training needs and presents recommendations for targeted training solutions
- Conduct train-the-trainer sessions for OJT trainers and training department personnel
- Compile department specific quality metrics related to training or training effectiveness
- Establish training curriculums with department managers prior to employee hire date and conduct periodic reviews of curriculums to ensure accuracy of assigned training requirements
- Generate and distribute reports for overdue or upcoming training tasks
Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of instructional design and methods, adult learning theory, and evaluation methods
- Experience in role and scenario-based instructional course development
- Experience working with Subject Matter Experts and translating content and performance requirements into sound instructional content
- Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
- Must possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Must be well organized and detail and multi-task oriented
- Must be able to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and personalities within and between departments
- Exceptional training, listening and presentation skills
- Knowledge of credit union operations, including lending and computer system capabilities desirable
- Strong negotiation skills in dealing with business partners
- Project management skill set
- Ability to demonstrate leadership, build relationships and inspire others to follow
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary
- Excellent customer service skills with a high attention to detail

- Strong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design/Technology or related field
