Summary:
Conducting cyber analyses and assessments, determining mission and operational impacts, and making appropriate mitigation recommendations, as well as developing methodology and frameworks in support of the cyber risk assessment life cycle. The team will provide rapid design, development, test, deployment, maintenance and operations of software and hardware capabilities to meet cyber defensive needs.
Job Duties:
- Provides technical support to IT, administrative and visitors in regards to network security and overall network health and performance.
- Manage day-to-day networking requirements for a 1500+ computer environment
- Manage all network activity, responding to analysis as well as automated alerts to prevent network issues.
- Execute basic wired and wireless network troubleshooting.
- Provide backup support administrating Brocade, F5, Juniper Networks, and Arista Networks equipment.
- Research and recommend wired, wireless, and mobile networking products and solutions.
- Ensure stability, integrity and efficient operation of information systems that support core organizational functions.
- Collaborate with the UNIX and Desktop services teams to ensure their services are provided the necessary network services and security.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong technical background in computer networking and ability to explain how the OSI layers, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and various networking protocols (e.g., DHCP, DNS, FTP, etc.) operate
- Strong knowledge of basic networking concepts including Ethernet, VLAN, IP subnets, routing and switching, NAT, ACLs, etc.
- Basic knowledge of network security and related protocols (e.g., IPSec, Encryption, Digital Certificate)
- Basic knowledge of wireless technologies and related protocols (e.g., 802.11a/b/g/n/ac)
- Basic knowledge of VoIP and related protocols (e.g., SIP, SCCP, RTP)
- Basic familiarization with Cisco networking technologies (CCNA-Level) and Cisco products
- Working knowledge of network cabling
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server (e.g., Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WINS, etc.)
- Ability to digest and understand a network diagram
- Basic knowledge on packet analysis and use of related tools (e.g., Wireshark, etc.)
- Ability to follow given instructions and execute accordingly
- Self-motivated with an ability to learn at a fast pace
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn new technologies and develop technical skills

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, systems or related technical field
- 2+ years of work experience in business, systems or related technical field
